James Blinkhorn - The Artist
Contemporary artist, James Blinkhorn is emerging as one of the most intriguing artists working today Born on the 6th of the 6 1966 in Manchester, England, James began demonstrating his artistic talents early painting commissions from the age of eleven. Painting a wide range of subjects he was given guidance buy his artistic father and wonderful art teacher Mrs. Seagall, who said "James is the most talented artist I have personally come across."
At art college he was influenced by Royal Academy tutor Bill Clark, who taught James the valuable lesson of reworking the painting, and putting more emotion and depth into his work. James progressed to become a young newspaper artist for a couple of years, after which he joined forces with two more artists and formed Incredoman illustration they soon became leaders in there field illustrating for companys like Disney, Coca-Cola, Siemens, BT and other worldwide companies James says "It was very demanding and always stressful meeting the tight deadlines, but a great way of learning discipline. By that I mean putting each stroke of paint in a place where you intended." See it as good or bad but James's many styles and subject matter reflect his love and interest in life.
James conveys not merely image, but mood and atmosphere as well. This is rare in today's art world. Wendy Muse, art critic from Las Vegas, America wrote, "James's paintings are like giants whispering,big catch your eye images, but also interesting that keeps you wanting to look at it again and again."
